MIMESIS OF THE ART NOUVEAU
2017
The project focuses on mimicking the 'interior architecture of the Art Nouveau' in the contemporary space.
Its main aim is to discover how to bring the principles of the Art Nouveau design into contemporary spaces.
First, through understanding how the Art Nouveau mimics elements of nature in the interior design. Second, defining how these elements can be retaken and implemented in a contemporary way. And finally, adapting them to current manufacturing methods.
To achieve this, the project works on creating a final space that mimics nature into pavements, materials, finishes, lighting, chromatic ranges and ceilings, as Art Nouveau did.
As result, this project asserts the possibility of developing the characteristics and principles of the Art Nouveau into the contemporary space.
